IT support technicians help computer users with the technical support of hardware and software systems. Their work involves providing technical support to customers by setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and updating computer hardware and software. A computer support technician may also receive an Information Technology Management Specialist (ITMS) certification. IT technicians can work in a variety of fields. Some technicians work with computer users and repair issues.
